YOUNG PEOPLE’S CONCERT
“Peter and the Wolf”
 by Sergei Prokofiev

This classic children’s tale of a boy’s adventures in a forest, along with his friends the bird, the cat, and the duck, will be narrated by Mrs. Betty May Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton will also give a brief introduction to the music, with illustrations of the musical themes, represented by different instruments. The program will also include “Salute to Armed Services,” as well as LeRoy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.” The Young People’s Concert will be followed by an “Instrument Zoo,” in which audience members will be invited to view demonstrations by DSO members of the family of orchestral instruments at close range. Children under 12 admitted free with ticketed adult. This concert is sponsored, in part, by the City of Dover, and by the Greater Dover Foundation.
