The Dover Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Donald Buxton will open its 2014-2015 season on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God in Dover.

The orchestra will feature the beloved Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B Minor "Unfinished".  Other selections will include Smetana's Overture from The Bartered Bride, von Suppe's Light Cavalry Overture, and Borodin's In the Steppes of Central Asia. 

Admission prices are Adults--$20, Seniors/Students/Military--$15.  Children under 16 are free with a paying adult.   Tickets are available at the website, www.doversymphony.org, or by calling 302-270-1903. Tickets are also available at the door.

Annual Gridiron Dinner

Anne Gallagher, chair of the Norman A. Lockman Excellence in the Arts Committee, Dave Skocik representing the Dover Symphony Orchestra, and Susan Bulley representing the ecarte dance theatre. The two Dover-based organizations received grants at the annual GridIron dinner in Wilmington on May 7, 2011 based on the organizations' community outreach.
